Cierva Cove is located in the northern part of Hughs Bay on the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula.

The bay is surrounded by jagged mountain peaks with glaciers between.

Cierva Cove is one of the best places in Antarctica to see a Leopard seal taking a nap on an ice floe.
